The United Nations Development Programme is inviting applications from the institutions/organizations. The focus of the portfolio has been primarily women and youth from the marginalized communities across the country. It takes into consideration that women face significant social and economic barriers in participating in India’s workforce.
Under the portfolio, there are several projects being implemented in partnership with the State Government departments, private sector entities, and others, in the area of career guidance and counselling, apprenticeships promotion (with industry clusters), micro-enterprise development, strengthening of the farm/non-farm and artisanal values chains, and developing second generations managers.
Objectives
During the course of the engagement, the service provider will be required to successfully design and implement the Youth Co:Lab 2021-2022 cycle with the National Innovation Challenge and Dialogue,support youth entrepreneurs through an incubation programme (National Springboard Programme), as well as through the facilitation of a multi-stakeholder alliance for youth entrepreneurship.
Scope of work
The service provider, during the course of this engagement will be expected to design and manage the Youth Co:Lab 2021-22 cycle by implementing the communications and outreach strategy, conducting the National Springboard Programme, National Innovation Challenge, the National Innovation Dialogue events and Youth Co:Lab Finale, and creation and facilitation of a multistakeholder alliance on youth entrepreneurship, in consultation with the Youth Co:Lab team and partners.
The overall Youth Co:Lab plan would cover the longterm communications strategy and implementation plan, the National Springboard plan as well the multi stakeholder alliance roll out plan.
- The communications strategy and plan will be geared towards maximizing outreach and visibility of the initiative, applications, and the National Innovation Dialogue events. This plan will include engagement tools and timeline, sample posts for social media including #DYK posts, GIFs, structure and outline for 2 potential blog posts, and an e-book/photo book sample, as well as an example of a working virtual stage prototype for the Youth Co:Lab Finale.
- As the applications would be hosted on a microsite either hosted on Atal Innovation Mission or on the service provider’s webpage, the content and design of the microsite would be submitted with the communications plan, along with the application form.
- Suggested names of experts and speakers for the National Dialogue events as well as World Youth Skills Day, International Youth Day would be included in the plan.
- The National Springboard Programme plan will include the session plans and design, timeline, engagement plan, mentors, experts, jury panels for the assessment of applications, and for the National Innovation Challenge.
- Multi-Stakeholder Alliance Plan will include at least 30 potential partners and their details, engagement and facilitation plan.
Eligibility Criteria
- Proposals are invited from the institutions/organizations only.
- The lead agency/service provider should have demonstrated at least 5 years of previous experience and competence in conducting nationwide and multi state incubation programmes for social entrepreneurship with demonstrated experience of supporting at least 15 climate/green startups.
- Service provider should have a robust network of at least 10 organizational and institutional stakeholders (including govt, pvt sector and other CSOs) in the youth social entrepreneurship/green entrepreneurship space that will be leveraged for this initiative;
- Service provider should demonstrate 3 years previous experience and competence in hosting successful social media campaigns reaching large audiences (upto 15,000 persons per campaign).
