The London Youth is now seeking 100 high-potential youth practitioners to take part in the first year of Rise Up.
Rise Up is an aspirational leadership development program for those who are currently not currently working in formal leadership/management level positions or haven’t considered leadership positions before. This five-month program will take you through intensive training, mentoring, and leadership development to enhance your youth work practice and prime you for future leadership positions.
About the Programme
- A free, innovative leadership program for frontline youth practitioners working with young people vulnerable to violence.
- Aspirational, elevating youth sector leaders as knowledgeable and trusted representatives of the communities they serve
- Accessible, aimed at those without formal youth work qualifications, with lived experience of the challenges and barriers affecting young people most at risk of violence.

Criteria
- There is not an age limit on this program but they are seeking practitioners who do not have leadership experience.
- The program is free to eligible participants, with each place worth at least £5,000 in training, coaching and mentoring fees.
- You and your mentor will arrange what works best for you but they would expect that you will speak for up to 1-2 hours per month outside of the training program.
- This opportunity is only available for those working in London.
- Successful applicants can apply to an access fund for support. If you think taking part might be a challenge for you please contact them.
- London Youth welcomes applications from youth practitioners who are self-employed, furloughed, volunteering or unemployed. You will need to have experience of working with young people.
