Call for Submissions: Artist Grant Program

Frame's Project Grant for an International Art Publication (Finland)

Deadline: 13-Oct-2025

The Artist Grant Program is designed to help emerging artists from underrepresented groups whose practices involve some form of collaborative, collective, or creative process that benefits their community.

Through this grant they want to improve living conditions for artists, enable them to dedicate more time to developing their practice, increase the visibility of their work, and boost their self-confidence.

The Grant is offering 10 unrestricted grants of €10,000, which will be transferred in monthly installments of €1,000 over a period of 10 months from January to October 2026. The grants are intended to help cover living costs and expenses associated with artistic development, such as securing workspaces, purchasing equipment, or paying for courses. Grantees will also receive non-financial support through a Grantee Network that offers virtual events for peer-to-peer sharing and will have their work promoted across various communication channels.

To be eligible, applicants must identify as an emerging artist with at least two and no more than 10 years of professional experience. They must be developing an artistic practice that involves collaborative, collective, or creative processes that incorporates or benefits their community. Applicants must also identify as belonging to one or more underrepresented groups or as someone who consistently faces systemic barriers to equal opportunities in career development, exposure, or access compared to the majority of artists in their country.

Applicants must be based in Belgium, Germany, Spain, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, or the United Kingdom and have a bank account with an IBAN number in one of these countries. They must have been born in or before 2004 and have an updated website or public social media profile. The application must clearly outline how the grant will be used and how it will support the artist’s development. It must also demonstrate how the grant will help in overcoming economic, social, cultural, physical, and health-related barriers. Finally, applicants must be willing to be a positive ambassador for the TSAF Grantee Network.

The selection process has three rounds. The first round is eligibility and ranking, where the Selection Committee will review and score up to 100 applications. If more than 100 eligible applications are received, they will be ranked based on the survey section of the application, prioritizing artists with less access to financial resources and those who face greater systemic discrimination. The second round involves an independent Selection Committee reviewing up to 100 eligible applications, with each being scored by two members to create a shortlist of 20. In the final round, all five committee members will evaluate the 20 shortlisted applications and reach a consensus on the 10 grant recipients.

Final steps for the selected applicants include submitting proof of identity, eligibility, and bank details. Once verified, an agreement form will be provided for signature, after which the first of the 10 monthly grant installments will be scheduled. Applications that pass the first round will be reviewed based on the degree of alignment between the artistic practice and the program’s focus, the level of community engagement, the clarity of the grant’s potential impact, and the applicant’s commitment, dedication, and creative potential. The deadline to apply is October 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM CET.
