Aboriginal Literacy Foundation: Delivering Books to Indigenous Communities throughout Australia

The Aboriginal Literacy Foundation is an incorporated association, registered and based in Victoria, Australia. Founded in 2003 by Dr Tony Cree OAM, the foundation’s work builds on its founders 25 year+ career in education and involvement with the Indigenous community.

The Aboriginal Literacy Foundation seeks to transform the lives of Indigenous children by focusing on literacy and numeracy education. Working in collaboration with local communities and partners, it develops literacy skills with Indigenous children so that they can succeed in school, their community and beyond.

The ALF currently provides several specific programs involving different strategies, all of which share the same aim of improving the literacy skills of Indigenous youth.
