The International Book Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that promotes literacy in underserved areas of the world, both domestic and abroad.
In the last 50 years, IBP has sent over 6,000,000 books.
IBP ships books to schools, libraries, churches, community organizations, and Peace Corps Volunteers throughout the developing world and in the United States.
The International Book Project is committed to promoting literacy. It builds global partnerships that foster cultural understanding and bring people together for common goals.
IBP believes that focusing on individual requests for books from around the world will help communities develop literacy skills and a culture of active reading among school children, adults, and universities.
IBP works closely with its partners to send books that are of interest to the people in recipient communities. You will be required to speak with members of your community of various ages, backgrounds, and interests in order to determine the need. This information will be submitted to the International Book Project so that you can receive books that will be used and loved by citizens in your community.
