Open Call: Feminist Events Dedicated to the National Day Against Domestic Violence

The Secretary’s Office of Global Women’s Issues (S/GWI) announces a funding opportunity for a new program entitled “Comprehensive Programming to Address and Respond to Gender-based Violence in Malawi and Tanzania Initiative” with an aim to advance the objectives committed to in the U.S. Strategy to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence Globally (GBV).

The U.S. Department of State seeks proposals from qualified organizations with the capacity to oversee the implementation of third-party sustainable sub-grantees advancing the outcomes and actions committed to by the U.S Department of State in the GBV Strategy and accompanying implementation plans.

Applicants should demonstrate experience in developing partnerships with relevant stakeholders including the public and/or private sector as well as local organizations to design, implement, monitor, and evaluate comprehensive programming that both responds to the needs of women and girls in the target countries, and coordinates with existing efforts currently being implemented by U.S. government, host country, and international and local actors.

Funding Information: The approximate total funding should not exceed to$6,000,000
