Southern Africa Trust: Grants to CSOs representing Poor

The Southern Africa Trust provides grants to civil society organisations representing the poor through policy development in the region. It is an independent, regional, non-profit agency registered in South Africa.

The Trust’s mission is to support processes to deepen and widen engagement in policy dialogue with a regional impact, so that the poor have an effective voice in shaping policies that overcome poverty. It envisions having a well-integrated southern Africa with policies and strategies that end poverty and make regional integration work for the poor.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for a grant, applicant organisations or lead organisations in an alliance, coalition or network of other organisations must:

Focus Countries: Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
