Wellbeing of Women is accepting applications for its Research Grants 2019 for projects in basic science, clinical or translational research in the areas of pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period, including pre-term birth, miscarriage and fertility; general wellbeing surrounding women’s health issues such as menopause, incontinence, sexual health, perinatal mental health, menstrual disorder and endometriosis; and gynaecological cancers.
Wellbeing of Women is the charity dedicated to improving the health of women and babies across the UK.
They would particularly like to encourage applications for research in to amniotic fluid embolism, menopause and midwifery, as the charity has designated funds available in these areas.
Areas of Interest
Wellbeing of Women will fund basic science, clinical and translational research, including explanatory or feasibility studies and systematic reviews in one of the following three areas:
- Pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period;
- Gynaecological cancers;
- General wellbeing surrounding women’s health issues
Funding Information
- Applications may be made for the financial support, for up to £200,000, of a project for up to three years to cover direct research costs.
- The award is intended to support a researcher leading their own work at an established research institution.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications are invited for a Research Project Grant, to be undertaken in the UK or Ireland, relevant to remit of women’s reproductive health and childbirth.
- The project must be capable of being concluded within the duration of the award.
