The Kazakhstan National Federation of Clubs for UNESCO, with the support of the National Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan for UNESCO and ISESCO and the UNESCO Cluster Office in Almaty, has announced the launch of the music cycle of the International Festival “The Planet of ART 2023”. The festival is dedicated to promoting the International Year of Dialogue as a Guarantee of Peace, as announced by the United Nations.
The project’s main aim is to realize the creative potential of children and young people by promoting the diversity of cultural expressions and strengthening friendly relations through peace and harmony building based on the concept of “culture of peace.
The festival makes a significant contribution to popularizing the work of Kazakh composers and choreographers by introducing their works in a contemporary interpretation into the concert’s music programme. This year’s festival is distinctive because the organizers aim to speak to young people in their language by promoting contemporary art.
Purpose: to support talented youth and realize their creative potential by popularizing the diversity of forms of cultural self-expression and strengthening the friendly ties of the younger generation through building peace and harmony based on the concept of “culture of peace.
Geography: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
Tasks:
- support and development of creative youth of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan;
- development of the creative potential of children from remote regions and socially unprotected segments of the population;
- promotion of the ideas of peace and harmony through culture and art;
- support and development of creative youth;
- development of the creative potential of children from remote regions and socially unprotected segments of the population of Kazakhstan;
- popularization of children’s and youth creativity and strengthening of friendly ties between young performers from different countries;
- Promoting all forms of diversity cultural expression and enhancing their visibility at the national level;
- promotion of contemporary culture at the site of the Festival;
- preservation of intangible cultural heritage and promotion of the Kazakh national culture and musical heritage in the international arena;
- promotion of the Kazakh experience of intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding;
- expanding the horizons of the participants, the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities, skills, imagination and personality;
- exchange of experience and improvement of professional skills;
- involvement of leading figures of art and culture of Kazakhstan in work with children;
- promotion and support of Kazakhstan’s initiatives in international organizations;
- attracting the attention of the general international community to Kazakhstan by demonstrating the creativity of youth;
- strengthening the creative potential of the states-participants of the Festival;
- promotion and popularization of the UNESCO club movement among a wide the public;
- interaction of festival participants at the international level.
Eligibility Criteria
- Participants: Soloists from among children and youth aged 12 to 18 (inclusive) are invited to participate in the Festival.
- The event will be held as part of the celebration of the International Year of Peace and Action, proclaimed by the UN.
The Terms of Participation
- Participation in the Festival is carried out without an entrance fee (free of charge);
- By taking part in the competition, the participant confirms the obligation to comply with all the internal rules and conditions of the project prescribed in this Regulation, as well as in the internal agreement for the finalists from among the project laureates and accompanying teachers for their participation in the final of the Festival in the cities of Pavlodar and Astana;
- All personal and/or other information provided by participants must be true, accurate and not misleading in any way;
- For the provision of inaccurate or false information by candidates for participation in the competition, the Organizer has the right to exclude the applicant from the general selection;
- By taking part in the competition, the participant of the competition confirms his consent to the placement of personal data, as well as the use of video and photo images with his participation by the Organizers and partners of the Festival, made during the qualifying rounds or the Festival, including in the media, by filling out an application from the parents or guardian in the registration form;
- To participate in the qualifying round of the Festival, you must go through online registration.
