Deadline: 20-Oct-2025
The Towcester Park Community Fund, a collaboration between IM Properties and Northamptonshire Community Foundation, is designed to help strengthen local communities in Towcester, Tiffield, Greens Norton and Easton Neston.
It offers grants between £2,000 and £5,000 for projects that promote positive change, enhance the natural environment and build stronger social ties.
The funding supports a wide variety of activities: encouraging community cohesion, tackling isolation, supporting learning opportunities for children, young people, adults and families, raising awareness and education around sustainability, promoting resource efficiency through reuse and recycling, and backing environmental projects such as habitat creation. Health, wellbeing, inclusion and diversity are among the priorities for what “positive change” can mean.
Groups eligible to apply include small local voluntary organisations, community or self-help groups as well as parish councils (but only for non‐statutory roles). Projects can be new initiatives, startup costs, or extensions of work already underway. Both revenue and capital projects are included, meaning funds can be used for things like venue hire, equipment, staff or volunteer costs, core costs linked to delivering activities, or making improvements to existing community assets.
There are a few requirements small groups must meet: the project should benefit people living in Towcester, Tiffield, Greens Norton or Easton Neston, there should be volunteers involved beyond just a management committee, groups should have a written constitution with a dissolution clause applicable to Northamptonshire, and policies must be in place to ensure safeguarding of vulnerable participants and equality.
Although the fund is currently closed, it represented a significant opportunity for grassroots organisations to secure funding that could make a real impact locally. For those that are eligible and ready, when it reopens this fund is a chance to build community, improve local green spaces, boost wellbeing and bring people together.
