Deadline: 28-Oct-2025
A new grant program has been launched as part of the project “Support for Children and Youth with Experience of Staying in Alternative Forms of Care”, implemented by UNICEF Ukraine in collaboration with the Public Organization “Ukrainian Network for the Rights of the Child” and the Office for Children and Youth DIyMO under the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine.
The initiative is supported financially by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany through KfW, the European Union, and the Government of Sweden.
The program aims to provide children and young people with opportunities to develop key skills such as teamwork, effective communication, project thinking, needs analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making. These skills are cultivated through socio-educational projects that contribute not only to the personal growth of participants but also to the development of their communities and society as a whole.
This initiative focuses on the Odessa and Mykolaiv regions and invites public and charitable organizations working with children and youth in these areas to collaborate. Communities with children and young people aged 14 to 25—particularly those with life experience—are encouraged to form teams and participate in the program. Non-profit organizations can serve as partners or mentors, supporting teams during both formation and project implementation stages.
Youth teams participating in the program should consist of three to seven members, with at least two participants having life experience, including orphans, children deprived of parental care, or individuals who have lived in institutional care of various types.
Projects under this grant should address one or more key areas, such as raising awareness of children’s and human rights, developing non-formal education programs, creating interactive media or educational materials, encouraging youth participation in public life, providing psychosocial support and life skills, supporting children not living with their parents, developing community services for children and youth, and promoting inclusion and accessibility.
This grant program offers a meaningful opportunity for young people to develop skills, engage actively in their communities, and create positive change while receiving guidance and support from experienced organizations.
