Call for EOIs: Humanitarian Cash Transfer – North and Far North Cameroon

CFPs: Emergency Initiative for the most Vulnerable Population in the Conflict-affected regions of Ukraine

Deadline: 02-Sep-2025

In partnership with United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund, a new humanitarian initiative is being launched in the Adamaoua and Far North regions of Cameroon to provide targeted cash assistance and strengthen local systems for vulnerable families, especially those with children.

The intervention focuses on delivering timely, secure, and accountable cash and voucher support while enhancing community resilience and inclusion.

At the heart of this effort is the effective management of beneficiaries. Families in need are identified, registered, and verified using national tools like the RESUC social registry and the HOPE platform. Regular updates to beneficiary data ensure that assistance reaches those who need it most. This approach not only streamlines the delivery process but also reinforces transparency and efficiency in cash distribution.

Before assistance is deployed, a detailed pre-assessment evaluates the feasibility of the program, local market conditions, and security risks. Community engagement is a key component, with local leaders, authorities, and residents actively involved in the promotion and understanding of the initiative.

The program also places strong emphasis on accountability. Functional and documented complaint-handling mechanisms are established to gather, process, and respond to feedback from community members. This reinforces trust and ensures that concerns are addressed swiftly and transparently.

To complement the cash transfers, social and behavioral change activities are introduced based on the specific shocks and needs faced by the population. Where appropriate, connections are made to local social services to support vulnerable groups more comprehensively.

Monitoring tools are used to track the impact of the intervention through post-distribution assessments. These evaluations ensure that assistance is not only delivered effectively but that it also contributes to long-term recovery, system strengthening, and community development. The integration of cross-sectoral efforts—spanning communication for development, disability inclusion, emergency response, and livelihoods—further enhances the scope and sustainability of the program.
