Do you know a Bikeability superstar? Perhaps you know an instructor who gives it their all and helps their students feel confident, whatever their abilities. Or maybe a young cyclist or family who shows real dedication to learning how to cycle safely. Whoever they are, Bikeability Trust want to celebrate them! Nominations for this year’s awards are open now.
Award Categories
- Instructor of the Year
- This award recognises an individual who goes above and beyond to provide outstanding cycle training. They show commitment to ensuring every child can access Bikeability. They inspire fellow instructors, employers, and the children they teach.
- Rising Star
- This award recognises an individual who has recently joined Bikeability. They have made a positive impact during their time. They show innovative thinking and a passion for the industry.
- School of the Year
- This award recognises a school who has embraced and encouraged Bikeability cycle training. They show commitment to ensuring every child can access Bikeability.
- Beyond Bikeability, the winning school has embedded cycling into their ethos. They will be able to show the impact of this in their school community.
- Pete Rollings Award: Young Cyclist of the Year
- This award recognises a young individual who has excelled during Bikeability cycle training. They show commitment and determination to completing cycle training. They have continued to cycle beyond Bikeability training.
- Family of the Year
- This award recognises a family of any description who love cycling, who may or may not have benefited from Bikeability Family cycle training. They show commitment and determination to cycling as a family and inspire others to cycle.
- Small Organisation of the Year
- This award recognises an organisation who has contributed to the success of Bikeability. They show best practice and provide a high-quality service. They may have overcome specific challenges in their area.
- Nominees must be a small grant recipient or training provider. They will work with 5 Bikeability instructors or fewer.
- Large Organisation of the Year
- This award recognises an organisation who has contributed to the success of Bikeability. They show best practice and provide a high-quality service. They may have overcome specific challenges in their area.
- Nominees must be a large grant recipient or training provider. They will work with more than 5 Bikeability instructors.
- Personal Achievement Award
- This award recognises an individual who has overcome challenges to succeed or have made a significant personal achievement despite personal or external challenges.
- Lifetime Achievement Award
- This award recognises an individual who has committed their career to Bikeability. They will have dedicated many years to the success of the industry. This special award will recognise their dedication and commitment.
