The Logan City Council is pleased to announce a call for proposals for the 2022-23 Active and Healthy Program to provide resident with a range of local and affordable activities.
Focus Areas
Activities aim to promote good health and physical activity across six key areas:
- Children and Families
- Cooking and Nutrition
- Environmental activities (e.g. gardening workshops)
- Fitness and Sports
- Gentle Movement
- Wellbeing
The Active and Healthy program provides weekly activities all year round, including during school holidays, as well as one-off activities, programs and workshops.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Council is looking for activities to be delivered across all areas of the City of Logan. Activities should meet the following criteria:
- Value for money.
- Meets an existing or emerging community need
- Your activity has had regular participation and positive feedback (if delivered before).
- Your activity has delivery formats that also meet online capabilities.
- Willingness to work within Council’s conditions.
- Preference given to providers based in the City of Logan.
- As part of the Active and Healthy program, you will receive the following:
- A service provider rate of $20 per hour.
- You can charge up to $5 per participant per session.
- A travel subsidy for eligible applications – $20 per activity. To be eligible, you must deliver activities in Council’s regional suburbs (and not live in the area). These areas include Flagstone, Greenbank, Jimboomba, Mundoolun, Yarrabilba, Cedar Grove, Cedar Vale and Woodhill.
- Reimbursement of a part, or all of, your venue hire (if required for your activity).
- Promotion of your activity through Council booklets, website, social media and community events.
- A cooking activity may have the costs of ingredients reimbursed.
