Deadline: 05-Dec-2025

The IZOLYATSIA Foundation is currently accepting applications for its to enhance the capacity of Ukrainian organisations for international cooperation, to build equal and sustainable partnerships, to create new cultural, artistic, and creative products, to raise awareness about Ukraine, and to promote Ukraine’s integration into the EU’s cultural landscape.

IZOLYATSIA Foundation, together with partners Malý Berlín and Trans Europe Halles, has launched a seed funding contest aimed at empowering Ukrainian cultural and artistic organizations. This initiative, part of the ZMINA: Resilience programme, supports the development of international cooperation projects between Ukrainian entities and organizations from Creative Europe countries. The aim is to build capacity, foster sustainable partnerships, and help participants transform creative ideas around resilience into full-fledged international project proposals.

Through this call, eligible Ukrainian arts and culture organizations can receive a subgrant of up to €5,000. The total funding pool for the seed funding stage is €75,000, and IZOLYATSIA expects to support 15 to 20 projects. Alongside financial support, winners gain access to four workshops focused on project development, partnership building, and proposal writing. Each recipient will also receive about 16 hours of tailored mentoring in areas such as structuring projects, budgeting, audience engagement, and managing teams.

To qualify, applicants must be registered cultural or artistic organizations operating under government‑controlled territories of Ukraine and not subject to EU or Ukrainian sanctions. They should submit proposals that reflect resilience, international cooperation, and creative partnerships. Eligible costs under the grant include staff time, external expertise, travel (local and international), accommodation, per diem, visa expenses, and support for caregivers in the household (for children under 10), all paid in fixed lump sums.

The grant is designed to enable organizations to experiment with new ideas, establish partnerships, and prepare stronger proposals for future funding. Organizations whose previous applications were declined for organizational reasons may also update their information, as IZOLYATSIA will reassess eligibility during the evaluation process. This opportunity offers a pathway for Ukraine’s cultural sector to deepen connections across Europe, strengthen project capacity, and amplify narratives of resilience on the international stage.
