#DigitalAgainstCOVID-19: ADB’s Digital Approach to Shaping the New Normal

OSMRE VISTA Program in the US

Deadline: 15-Jun-20

Applications are now open for ADB’s #DigitalAgainstCOVID-19 Hackathon. This 2020 ADB-AIM Hackathon provides a platform where you can become part of shaping the new normal.

ADB is crowdsourcing innovation from global problem solvers: startups, companies, universities, research organizations, and industry players. All selected ideas and solutions will be provided with access to resources for further prototype development and pilot launch.

Thematic Ideas

Are there ways digital technologies could help us address the long-term needs of these critical areas? Ideas can be submitted at any stage, throughout the entire hackathon’s 9-month duration.

The Opportunities

  1. WINNING SOLUTIONS
    • 3-5 Solutions per Round;
    • Up to USD 10,000 Grant;
    • ADB supports he winning team’s solution for further development to undergo pilot testing, incubation, and access to funding sources.
  2. SELECTED IDEAS
    1. Show potential in creating a challenge that would demonstrate possible solutions.

Each round spans in a 3-month phase starting from articulating problems to identifying solutions. Participants will go through application, evaluation, mentoring, and pitching.

The most valuable solutions will be selected based on value. They will focus on feasibility on deployment. Selected solutions will get the opportunity to develop prototypes, funded by ADB for pilot testing, supported by our partners and specialized experts. They want to go beyond spotting solutions to putting together a comprehensive, systematic, and scalable program aimed at producing measurable, sustained outcomes.
