The Fulbright Specialist Program in Tunisia

Deadline: 17-Dec-21

Proposals are now open for the Fulbright Specialist Program to offer non-U.S. institutions the opportunity to host American academics or professionals to build expertise in a specific area. This program strengthens ties between the host institution and the Fulbright Specialist’s home institution in the United States.

Program Activities

The Fulbright Specialist Program encourages host institutions to tailor projects to their own needs. However, all projects should have an education or training focus. Due to the short-term nature of the exchange, projects should have realistic, concrete objectives that can be achieved during the Specialist’s visit timeline. Please note that personal research projects, including clinical medical research or projects involving patient contact, are not eligible for funding under the Fulbright Specialist Program. Previous Specialists have supported host institutions by conducting activities, such as:

Eligible Disciplines

Projects designed by prospective host institutions should focus on one of the following disciplines:

Eligibility Criteria

Institutions that may be eligible to request a Fulbright Specialist may include higher educational institutions; government ministries or agencies, courts, as well as parliamentary or congressional institutions; cultural institutions, such as conservatories or museums; non-governmental organizations including think tanks; and medical institutions, such as public health organizations and teaching hospitals. Please note that this list is not exhaustive and other institutions may apply for the Fulbright Specialist program.
