Atlas Corps is now accepting applications from monitoring and evaluation and data analysis specialists to be considered for the Fellowship.
Fellows will develop their skills at mission-driven organizations to build frameworks, manage data collection, and provide analysis, recommendations, and training to drive program design decision-making.
These Fellows will also support the Atlas Corps mission of strengthening U.S.-based organizations by contributing their international perspective and expertise to an organization’s monitoring, evaluation, and learning practices.
The Atlas Corps Fellowship engages global professionals committed to social impact in 12-18 months of service with organizations in the U.S. to learn best practices, build organizational capacity, and return home to create a network of global leaders.
Impact Areas
- Candidates may use their skills and expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Framework Development
- Developing results frameworks, theories of change, and logic models; designing indicators and outcome measures; creating tracking tools that align input activities, outputs, outcomes and impacts; and contributing to the creation of a monitoring and evaluation plan.
- Data Quality Assurance & Management
- Providing operational and logistical support for the implementation of a monitoring and evaluation plan; maintaining data tracking systems; coordinating with program field staff for the collection of accurate and verifiable data to track key indicators; drafting and testing data collection tools; and overseeing standardized data collection procedures and their accuracy.
- Data Analysis
- Conducting qualitative and quantitative data analysis for project evaluations; preparing reports for donors and proposals; monitoring progress against key indicators and outcomes; writing and providing input for program improvement recommendations; and establishing data analysis procedures.
- Data Visualization
- Creating user-friendly dashboards and infographics to visualize evaluation results; managing data requests and tableau displays; creating graphs and pivot tables; and presenting monitoring and evaluation progress and results to clients.
- M&E for Learning and Capacity Building
- Cultivating data learnings and lessons learned from data collection and analysis; disseminating best practices to inform the design of new programs and facilitate continuous learning; researching new trends and best practices; training stakeholders in the implementation of standard and new M&E approaches; creating an organizational learning system for staff; managing the knowledge sharing in the organization; and providing technical guidance to staff and partners to achieve project-level deliverables.
- Framework Development
Opportunities to Connect with Atlas Corps Fellows Globally
- Fellows will also participate in the Atlas Corps Global Leadership Lab professional development series to develop their leadership skills and engage in networking opportunities with Atlas Corps Fellows from around the world.
- There is also the opportunity to participate in group cultural activities such as a D.C. Monuments Tour, sporting events, U.S. holiday celebrations, and more. In addition to building connections with peers during the Fellowship, alumni will also join the Atlas Corps network of approximately 1,700 rising leaders from 116+ countries.
Eligibility Criteria
- Basic Eligibility Requirements
- Candidates for this fellowship must have a college degree, be highly proficient in English, be no older than 35, and be committed to applying their experience in their home country or region after the program.
- Candidates should also have two years of experience using quantitative and qualitative methodologies for monitoring, evaluation, and learning.

- Hard Skills
- Technical skills in analyzing and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data to develop recommendations for program improvement.
- Experience with M&E methods and techniques such as logic models, theories of change, results-based frameworks, RCTs, performance monitoring plans and indicator matrices.
- Experience in writing and producing donor and stakeholder-centered reports and presentations that summarize program impact, progress, and key learnings from program implementation.
- Project management experience in the social impact sector.
- On-the-ground experience interacting with community members and program participants.
- Technical knowledge of data collection, analysis, and visualization tools such as Stata, SQL, Python, Excel, SPSS, Tableau, R, and Microsoft Power BI.
