The International Center for Journalists with the Eleanor Crook Foundation has launched a new reporting fellowship program to help journalists in the U.S. and around the world gain a better understanding of COVID-19’s impacts on global hunger, malnutrition, and food security as well as opportunities to increase resilience for the most vulnerable populations in a post-pandemic world.

The fellowship program seeks to raise the profile of health and food security issues in the U.S. and elsewhere. It will kick off with four webinars on health- and nutrition-related issues.

Participants will be encouraged to produce stories based on lessons learned during the webinars.The fellowship program aims to engage journalists on global malnutrition which, today, is the leading cause of child deaths worldwide.
