The Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art is currently inviting applications for its Rome Fellowship programme, offered annually to allow a Senior or Mid-Career scholar three months at the British School at Rome to work on an Anglo-Italian art-historical topic of any period from the medieval era onwards.

The Rome Fellowship is for the three months April to June 2017.

Eligibility Criteria

The Rome Fellowship is for senior or mid-career scholars only. It is open to individuals from any country. Although applications are welcome from individuals who do not hold a doctorate, all applicants must have an established scholarly profile.  Applicants must be competent in spoken and written Italian and will be expected to contribute to the academic life at the British School at Rome during their fellowship.
