The Social Business Design Competition is a global platform promoting youth-driven entrepreneurial solutions to combat social challenges like water, circularity, sports, poverty, employment, etc.
The competition is looking for youth from the global arena to bring unique, equitable ideas that are aligned with Sustainable Development Goals and moulding real solutions by designing their very own Social Business model.
Issues
You are an individual or a team of 5 with a creative but viable Social Business idea that solves any of the following issues:
- Environment and Climate Change,
- Micro-credit,
- Agriculture,
- Technology and Innovation,
- Waste,
- Circular Economy,
- Tourism,
- WASH,
- Employment,
- Sports,
- Health and Well-being.

- The best Social Business Idea will be awarded with USD 10,000 prize money.

Tracks
The Competition Track
- Submit Your Idea
- Register your entry in the website, either individually or for your team. Fill up your personal details and submit your Social Business idea.
- Get creative. Tell them your Social Business name, the problem statement, your big idea, and how you plan to do business!
- Instructions are elaborated in the Application form.
- Social Business Building
- Shortlisted participants will undergo informative and intensive workshops on Social Business Planning that shape their creativity & innovation, social business model, and storytelling.
- The participants undergo 45 days to apply these learnings to build a viable and sustainable market-driven Social Business model. Participants will submit their Social Business plan by the submission deadline.
- Pitch
- Top 20 shortlisted participants from around the globe will come together in the virtual pitch event.
- They will share a 3-minute pitch about their story, Social Business idea, and business model to a panel of prestigious judges of entrepreneurs, investors, industry specialists etc., who will decide the competition winner.
Eligibility Criteria
- You and your team members are between the ages 12 to 35.
- You and your team members are students, alums, academics or researchers with an entrepreneurial solution in the form of an idea, a work-in-progress prototype or an early-stage startup.
- Any social business enthusiasts.
