The International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) is now accepting nominations for researchers from the Global South for the 2022 Paula Kantor Award for Excellence in Field Research, which honors the legacy of a visionary leader whose contributions to the feminist and social justice movements are evident across the world.

In the spirit of Paula’s legacy of supporting applied research to advance the economic and social well-being of women, this award will be presented to a young professional female researcher who is contributing to the global evidence base supporting policies and programs that build gender equity. The researcher must be conducting field research that is relevant to ICRW’s mission and taking place in lowincome or otherwise marginalized communities worldwide. This award will be presented to a young female researcher who is a citizen of a country located in the Global South and is contributing to the global evidence base supporting policies and programs that build gender equity.

Award Details

In the spirit of Paula’s legacy of supporting applied research to advance the economic and social well-being of women in low-income and otherwise marginalized communities worldwide, this annual award is given to a young professional female researcher from the Global South doing field research related to ICRW’s mission, along with a US$2,500 cash prize.
