The George Weidenfeld Journalism Fellowship invites German and British journalists to undertake a work placement in the other country from October to December 2026. Fellows gain experience in foreign newsrooms, report for their home media outlets, and participate in conferences and workshops. Application Requirements

  1. Application Letter: Including motivation and preference for specific media outlets or locations

  2. Tabular CV

  3. Journalistic Reference: From department head or editor-in-chief, confirming journalistic activity and leave approval

  4. Work Samples: Maximum of four; television and radio journalists submit a list of notable contributions rather than data carriers

  5. Submission by June 15, 2026 via email (no registered mail or parcels)
