The Women’s Fund of Georgia is pleased to announce a grant competition “Promoting the Development of the Feminist Movement in Georgia” to empower women and promote the development of the feminist movement.
The Grant competition is financially supported by the “Oki Foundation” Women’s Program.
The program will enable women groups or women’s rights activists to carry out the following interventions:
- Feminist Educational Initiatives (Workshops, Trainer Training, etc.)
- Advocacy for legislation and policy. Also, media / social media campaigns for advocacy
- Collective initiatives of feminists, women’s rights activists, women’s organizations / groups and capacity building
- Creative initiatives aimed at developing women’s movement, intercultural dialogue, solidarity and inter-movement cooperation and challenging change
- Interventions aimed at empowering members of the feminist movement (introducing collective care practices, enhancing digital and physical security skills, etc.)
Funding Information
The maximum grant amount is $5,000. The duration of the projects is defined up to 6 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- Formal and informal groups of women (registered non-governmental organizations and initiative groups) and networks from the capital and regions of Georgia can participate in the grant competition.
- The Women’s Fund will support projects within the competition:
- which are carr ied out by women
- whose direct and ultimate beneficiaries are women
- Priority will be given to coalition projects and projects submitted by registered organizations.
