2022 TIP Office International Programs to Combat Child Trafficking in Colombia

2022 Gobernarte Pablo Valenti Award - Submit your Initiative!

Deadline: 31-May-22

The Department of State’s Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons (TIP Office) announces an open competition for projects in support of a forth coming Child Protection Compact (CPC) Partnership between the United States and the Government of Colombia.

The CPC Partnership is jointly developed and implemented by the United States and the Government of Colombia through a multi-year plan (at least five years).

The purpose of the CPC is to strengthen the efforts of the Colombian government and civil society organizations in Colombia to prevent child trafficking in Colombia; effectively investigate, prosecute, and convict perpetrators of child trafficking; proactively identify, protect, and provide comprehensive, trauma-informed care for child victims; and create an enabling environment to promote effective collaboration to combat child trafficking.

The goal of the U.S.-Colombia CPC Partnership is that the Government of Colombia and otherstate entities work in close partnership with local authorities, governments and mayors, civil society, and relevant anti-trafficking stakeholders in a sustainable and coordinated fashion to combat child trafficking.
