Action Grants to support National or Transnational E-Justice Projects

Call for Applications: 2023 Human Rights Fund in Romania

Deadline: 23 April 2020

European Commission is seeking applications for Action Grants to support National or Transnational E-Justice Projects.

European e-Justice aims at improving access to justice in a pan-European context and is developing and integrating information and communication technologies into access to legal information and the workings of judicial systems. Procedures carried out in a digitised manner and electronic communication between those involved in judicial proceedings have become an essential component in the efficient functioning of the judiciary in the Member States.

Priorities and Activities to be co-financed

 Priorities

Without prejudice to the priority areas set out above, other e-Justice project proposals related to supporting relevant EU policies, such as victims’ rights, rights of suspects and accused in criminal proceedings, and projects which are in advanced stage of development or already live on the e-Justice Portal at the moment when the call is published, will not be excluded.

Transnational project proposals will receive a higher priority than national ones. National projects will be funded insofar as they clearly offer an EU added value.

Description of the Activities

The requirements and the application of the eIDAS Regulation and the use of the CEF Digital Building Blocks, as well as the results from the e-CODEX project and ISA Core vocabularies, should be taken into account, as relevant.

Activities relating to project management, content preparation, editorial work, communication, promotion and dissemination are also eligible for funding.

Activities must take place in countries participating to the Justice Programme to be eligible for funding.
