Hubbub has launched the Eat It Up Grant Fund 2024 to fuel innovations that reduce edible food waste, ensuring food serves its purpose to be eaten.
Focus Areas
- The Eat It Up Fund is aimed at innovators with creative solutions to tackle edible food waste. Hubbub is looking for applications that:
- Address pre-farmgate waste
- Prevent food from being wasted at manufacturing and processing stage
- Minimise food waste from retailers
- Find ways to reduce or prevent food waste in communities or at home.
Funding Information
- This year, they’re offering six transformative grants of up to £60,000 each to organisations with ground-breaking ideas to cut down on food waste.
Eligibility Criteria
- They’re calling on UK registered organisations that are eager to kickstart a new concept or scale up a tested project. You can apply if you’re a:
- Registered charity, including charitable incorporated organisations and not-for-profit companies
- Social enterprise
- Community Interest Company
- Educational institution (schools, universities, colleges)
- Local authority
- Micro or small business with a clear social purpose (less than 50 employees and an annual turnover under £10 million)
Ineligible
- Organisations not registered in the UK
- Initiatives not delivered in the UK
- Businesses that do not match the criteria of micro and small businesses with a clear social purpose (less than 50 employees and an annual turnover under £10 million
