Applications Open for EJC’s Global Health Journalism Grant Programme for Germany!

The European Journalism Centre (EJC) is seeking applications for its Global Health Journalism Grant Programme for Germany that aims to advance innovative reporting on global health topics in developing countries in German media.

The goal of the grant, supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, is to raise awareness about global health issues among the general public and to inform influencers and decision makers in government, civil society, industry, and science as well as development communities.

The topic of health and the description of health care in the developing countries should be put in the broader context of development cooperation, political stability, migration and international relations.

Grant Information

The grants are worth between €5,000 and €20,000 each – including potential travel and technical expenses according to the scope of project.

Country focus

The projects must take place in one or several developing countries, ideally Least Developed Countries (LDCs), excluding the countries from the former Yugoslav Republic, former Soviet Union countries, China and countries covered by a US embargo (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria).
