Applicants are invited to apply for the Future Forward Skills Fund program to catalyse market-based employability solutions that address the aspirations of India’s young workforce and make them future-ready.
The Future Forward Skills Mission is a multi-donor partnership initiated by UK India Business Council (UKIBC) and anchored by Tata Trusts. Future Forward Skills Mission is a unique initiative to identify, support and amplify employability solutions through strategic Funding, focused Research and meaningful Dialogues.
While scale is critical, the Fund is focused on optimum scale solutions that meet its outcome and impact standards. While economic prudence is a valuable trait, cost per trainee is not a decisive metric.
Grant Information
- The total amount that will be disbursed in the first round of the Fund is Rs. 2.5 Crores. The Selection Panel will decide the quantum to be awarded based on the work plan and budget submitted as part of the application.
- Funding will be disbursed in 3-4 tranches and will be monitored.
Eligibility Criteria
- The fund is open only to non-profits (Trusts/ Societies / Section 8 companies) with an operating record of at least two years.
- The non- profit organisation should meet the key criteria for the proposed solution:
- Meet Aspirations of target community: Solutions that understand and deliver on target segment aspirations such as measurable income premium over the relevant norm, measurable longevity in duration of employment where placed and career progression opportunities
- Impacted>1000 Lives: Solutions with an established proof of concept that have impacted 1000 lives or more while meeting target segment aspirations and are viable to scale
- Effective Market Linkage: Solutions that have employers/market/industry as a key partner to ensure impact on key outcome metrics in the short (post linkage or placement) and medium term (1-3 years).
- Address Future Readiness: Solutions that empower aspirants with portable skill sets that can open opportunities for them or enable them to adapt as the employment landscape changes
