Entries are now open for the Variety Community Grants Program to assist organisations working directly with WA kids who live with sickness, disadvantage and disability by providing equipment to support inclusion, education, independence and joy.
Funding Information
- You can apply for up to $50,000.
Ineligible Costs
- Administration and/or salary expenses.
- Therapy or rehabilitation.
- Services.
- Retrospective expenses.
- Travel costs or vehicle rental
Expected Outcomes
- Successful Applicants
- If successful, full details and next step instructions will be provided to you in the outcome letter.
- Funds should be used within 12 months of the approval date. They realise that for larger projects, this may not be possible. If accepted for a Variety WA Community grant, it is your responsibility to keep them updated on the progress of your project and request any extensions past 6 months.
- Variety WA does not provide funds directly to you, payment is made via Tax Invoice to the supplier.
- You will not be able to reapply for another Variety Grant for a period of 12 months after your Variety Grant is approved.
- Acquittal reports will be distributed at the discretion of Variety WA staff.
- As a result of the funding, collaboration on PR opportunities may be requested.
- Unsuccessful Applicants
- Reasons for an unsuccessful application will not be disclosed.
- Application outcomes are not able to be appealed, the decision of the committee is absolute.
- If unsuccessful, you may be eligible to reapply in 3 months from the date listed on your outcome letter, however the request must be altered, or new information supplied.
Eligibility Criteria
- Schools, community groups, organisations, Not for Profit or Non-Government Organisations.
- Working with children aged 0-17.
- Children experiencing disadvantage (financial/geographic/social), living with a long-term health condition or have a disability.
Application Requirements
- Your application will be expected to be truthful and factual, with relevant documentation as evidence included where requested.
- Financial details are required to be supplied.
- Supporting documents must be provided:
- A letter clarifying the need and objective of the request (if items or equipment, it may be appropriate to seek support from an allied health professional to support the request).
- A budget breakdown for the proposed assistance including quotes that are no older than three months at the time of submission and must remain throughout the assessment process.
