The Australian Sports Foundation is inviting applications for the Active Kids Grants Program to improve the physical and mental health of children and young Australians by encouraging and/or increasing sports participation through the provision of equipment or uniforms to eligible community organisations.
Objectives
- Active Kids grants are intended to assist clubs and organisations to support and encourage young Australians, aged 20 or under, to improve their physical and mental health by increasing their participation in sport.
- Grants are for the provision of sports equipment and on-field uniform supplied by the ASF’s partners. No cash grants are available in the 2022 Active Kids grant round.

There are five categories of grants on offer:
- Up to $2,500 GST inclusive (equipment only)
- $2,500 – $5,000 GST inclusive (equipment only)
- $5,000-$10,000 GST inclusive (equipment only)
- $5,000-$10,000 GST inclusive (uniform only)
- Up to $10,000 GST inclusive (can be equipment and/or uniform)
What Grant Requests will not be Considered?

The following do not fit the criteria for this grant program.
- Equipment or uniforms that will not be exclusively used to encourage and support sport participation by Australians aged 20 or younger.
- Equipment or uniforms that will not be provided free of charge to participants.
- Awards and trophies.
Eligibility Criteria

Organisations and clubs can only submit one application per ground round, and must be:
- volunteer-run and not affiliated with a professional club,
- non-profit with an Australian Business Number (ABN),
- signed up with the Australian Sports Foundation.
- able to complete an equipment and/or uniform order by COB 30 November 2022, and
- willing to provide an impact report and/or host visitors, as requested.
Ineligible Applicants
- Professional organisations and clubs
- Clubs and organisations that have paid administration staff
- Applicants that do not meet the Eligibility Criteria
