Australian High Commission Kingdom of Tonga: Seeking Applications for Direct Aid Program 2018-19

Australian High Commission Kingdom of Tonga is currently accepting applications for the 2nd round of its Direct Aid Program 2018-19, a competitive small grants program funded by the Australian Aid program.

The Direct Aid Program (DAP) is a community development program funded by the Australian Government. The program aims to support projects with a strong development focus that complement Australia’s broader aid program which contributes to sustainable economic growth and poverty reduction.

In 2017-18, DAP particularly welcome proposals for projects that address the following needs: people with disabilities, women and girls, livelihoods, human rights, environment and climate change, community health, arts and culture, youth and social inclusion.

Grants of up to 8000 pa’anga are available for proposals that can demonstrate a strong benefit to local communities in line with the priorities of the Australian Aid program in Tonga.
