They are looking for community groups who will work with artists to fill this city with creative work as part of the Birmingham 2022 Cultural Programme.

Thanks to the generous support of Birmingham City Council, they are looking to fund up to 150 different projects, aiming to get at least one in every ward.

These creative projects can be any artform, but applications must be made by not-for-profit organisations based in Birmingham. By investing in this work they want to raise the profile of excellent quality work that is representative of Birmingham’s incredible diversity.

Birmingham 2022 will present an ambitious cultural programme from March 2022. Artworks ranging from the playful to provocative will occupy the high streets, neighbourhoods, parks, waterways, venues and civic spaces of the West Midlands, across traditional art forms and more experimental mediums.

For many residents of Birmingham an encounter with the Cultural Programme will be their ‘Games moment’.

Delivered in partnership with Birmingham City Council the Creative City Grants Programme encourages people to explore and play in public spaces, to discover our city’s heritage and offer opportunities for all ages to find the ‘common ground’ in Commonwealth.
