BMBF Call for Proposals: National Research Strategy Bioeconomy 2030

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is currently seeking proposals for its funding program “National Research Strategy Bioeconomy 2030” to support the implementation of the National Research Strategy BioEconomy 2030 in an international context by funding collaborative R&D projects which involve foreign partners.

The Federal Government’s National Research Strategy BioEconomy 2030 provides the basis for realizing the vision of a sustainable, bio-based economy by 2030.

The aim of this program is to fund German partners (universities, research organisations and industry) in international consortia, preferring cooperation projects with partners in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, India, Malaysia, Russia and Vietnam. However, cooperation projects with other countries are also welcome.

Priority Areas

Projects in the frame of “Bioeconomy International“ shall significantly contribute to at least one of the following fields of action of the National Research Strategy Bioeconomy 2030:

Projects should address at least one of the following strategic objectives of the German Government towards the internationalization of science and research:

Eligibility Criteria

Applications may be submitted by universities, non-university research institutions, Land and Federal institutions with research responsibilities and by commercial companies based in Germany, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Proposals must be submitted online via given website.

Eligible Countries: Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, India, Malaysia, Russia and Vietnam.
