The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL) has announced an open competition for organizations interested in submitting applications for projects that support fundamental freedoms in Jordan.

DRL requests proposals for programs that increase citizens’ access to objective information. The program will support independent journalists, citizen journalists, and media outlets to ensure the survival and security of independent media sources and increase their contributions to a rights-respecting society.  The program will also encourage collaboration among journalists, civil society organizations, and media advocacy groups.
