ORCA (Serbia), on behalf of consortium of partners: AKTIV (Kosovo), FLOROZON (FYR of Macedonia), CZIP (Montenegro) i IEP (Albania) have jointly announced a call for Granting and Training programme for strengthening advocacy capacities for sustainable agriculture in the Western Balkans.
Components
- Training of selected CSOs on organisational development, internal governance and advocacy (November/December 2016)
- Coaching for writing project proposals in the area of sustainable agriculture. CSOs will be provided with expert support for development of full applications (January-March 2017)
- Granting CSOs with maximum 25.000 euros per grant. 10 best advocacy project proposals for sustainable agriculture will be granted (May 2017 – May 2018).

Funding Information
The amount awarded must fall between EUR 15.000,00 and EUR 25.000,00.
Priorities
- CSOs have strengthened their capacities for internal governance, strategic planning and organizational development
- CSOs have strengthened their capacities for advocacy for sustainable agriculture
- CSOs are actively engaged in developing research-based policies in sustainable agriculture
- CSOs monitor and evaluate development and enforcement of different legislation and strategic framework in sustainable agriculture
- CSOs are recognized by public authorities and general public as relevant stakeholders in decision-making processes
- CSOs actively network with relevant stakeholders in sustainable agriculture
- Local and/or national media are actively engaged to follow CSO activities and sustainable agriculture initiatives
- Raised awareness of general public on sustainable agriculture in local communities where CSOs are active
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be:
- Legal persons
- Non-profit making
- Civil-society organization or representative network of CSOs working on one or more thematic areas of relevance to this Call (proved by the Statute and list and summary of previous projects and activities)
- Be established in one of the Programme countries: Albania, FYROM (Republic of Macedonia), Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia
- Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the Concept Note of the action with their partners, not acting as an intermediary
