The Greater Washington Community Foundation (GWCF) is pleased to launch the Sharing Montgomery Fund to invest in organizations helping the people and areas within Montgomery County that have been disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Priorities
To more effectively support an equitable recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, The Community Foundation will target investments to help the people and areas within the county that have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic. The Community Foundation’s current priorities include:
- expanding access to vaccines and medical care,
- providing mental health services and support for frontline workers,
- enhancing access to food security resources,
- ensuring children and youth can safely return to school and helping to mitigate learning loss, and
- investing in other interventions which help families rebound from crises.
Funding Information
- Most grants will range from $5,000 to $10,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Sharing Montgomery grants will provide flexible general operating support for work serving Montgomery County’s low-income residents. Nonprofits may apply those resources wherever the need is greatest to advance their missions. Grants to regional organizations will be earmarked to support efforts in the county.
