Call for Proposals: Advocacy in Motion (AIM) Grants

Call for Proposals: Advocacy in Motion (AIM) Grants

Deadline: 4-Dec-23

The Global Health Council is seeking proposals for the Advocacy in Motion (AIM) Grants to support CSOs in low and middle income countries (LMICs) with their pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response (PPPR) advocacy initiatives.

GHC is the leading membership organization supporting and connecting advocates, implementers, and stakeholders around global health priorities worldwide.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been various global, regional, and country-level initiatives focused on strengthening health systems to ensure pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response (PPPR). The World Health Organization (WHO) established an Intergovernmental Negotiating Body (INB) to draft and negotiate a convention, agreement, or other international instrument under the Constitution of the World Health Organization on PPPR. The World Bank is hosting the Pandemic Fund which finances critical investments to strengthen PPPR capacities at national, regional, and global levels with a focus on low- and middle-income countries. GHC believes it is critical that Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) at the local and regional levels advocate for governments to not only make concrete political commitments and actions in these global processes, but also hold themselves accountable for their commitments.
