The USAID/Uzbekistan is seeking proposals for the Civil Society and Media Development Activity to deepen democratic reforms and implement the concept of development of civil society with the active role of mahallas, non-governmental organizations, free and impartial media.
This project aims to support citizens to interact more effectively with local communities and governments, advocate for shared interests, and improve citizen participation in decision-making processes.

Expected Results
- The project currently has the following expected results:
- Outcome 1: Civil society and the media use publicly available information to conduct data-driven assessments, develop public-interest interventions, and draft position papers and journalism content on issues of public interest.
- Outcome 2: Civil society and the media strengthen public trust and develop effective strategies to engage in inclusive dialogue with communities and government.
- Outcome 3: Civil society and the media develop innovations that engage the general public through information and communications technologies.
- Outcome 4: An improved regulatory environment that promotes the protection and expansion of independent civil society and the media.
Eligibility Criteria
- Respondents are also encouraged to provide any additional comments and views not covered in this RFI that would be useful for USAID to consider.
- The information provided must be in one file per email submission, not exceed seven (7) pages, including annexes/attachments
- A responder may submit only one submission.
- The responses can be submitted in any of three languages: English, Uzbek or Russian.
