Call for Proposals: CSOs for the Implementation of UNW BCO BWP24-25 (Burundi)

Deadline: 24-May-2024

With a view to implementing its Strategic Note 2024-2027 through its Biannual Work Plan 2024-2025 and building on its organizational values, UN Women would like to identify implementing partner organizations/institutions and build a database, and to this end invites any organization/institution qualified in the given areas to submit its proposal for a potential local partnership for the operational implementation of its Biannual Work Plan 2024-2025.

UN Women encourages the participation of women in all spheres of society and emphasizes four priority areas: (i) Governance and participation in public life, (ii) Economic empowerment of women, (iii) eradication violence against women/Human Rights and (iv) Women, peace and security, humanitarian action and disaster risk reduction. In all of these priority areas, UN Women makes gender equality a central concern in planning and budgeting for development issues at the national level.

To achieve the objectives set in these priority areas, partnerships with, among others, the government, Civil Society Organizations, the media, academia and international organizations and foundations are essential. Indeed, UN Women remains aware that when they pool the expertise and resources, they are a powerful engine for change and progress. And, by establishing good and fruitful partnerships, UN Women aims for greater coherence, effectiveness, efficiency, visibility and sustainability in the implementation of programs aimed at gender equality and women’s empowerment.
