Call for Proposals: Support to Civil Society Organizations in Fighting Discrimination during COVID-19 Crisis – “Promotion of Diversity and Equality in Kosovo”

Under the framework of the European Union/Council of Europe joint programme “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019-2022”, and its action on “Promotion of diversity and equality in Kosovo”, the Council of Europe is launching a call for proposals with the aim to fund specific measures to favour inclusion and combat inequalities of vulnerable groups, and/or raise awareness against hate speech targeting these groups in the specific context of the spread of the COVID virus in Kosovo.

The programme is co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe. Purpose

The purpose of the Action is to strengthen the capacity and supporting the authorities in the implementation of the policy/legal framework related to anti-discrimination, combating hate-speech and protecting rights of LGBTI persons in line with the standards and recommendations set by the Council of Europe – especially those of the European Commission on Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) especially strengthening the capacity of human rights mechanisms Office for Good Governance-Prime minister’s Office and Ombudsperson. As well where applicable those of the Advisory Committee of the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities (FCNM).
