The Variety is announcing its ThriveKids Grant Program that provides practical equipment to help WA kids develop and thrive.
This includes items that promote behavioural regulation, physical development, independence, wellbeing, social inclusion and more. Variety provides assistance that is not accessible through government funding or alternative services.
Funding Information
You can select one or more items as part of Variety ThriveKids Grant request, as long as it is within the capped request limit. The items must be directly related to your child’s diagnosis or condition and the intended outcomes supported by a relevant health professional.

- Request Limit: $2,000.
- Household Limit: $120,000pa.

- Supplies / consumables.

- Request Limit: $5,000.
- Household Limit: $140,000pa.

- Mobility
- Eligible items:
- Modified bikes / trikes / scooters.
- Hoists.
- Hydrotherapy (pool / spas).
- Specialised car seats.
- Request Limit: $5,000.
- Household Limit: $140,000pa.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this grant you are required to meet the following criteria:
- Child is residing in WA.
- Child is aged 0-17 (must be under 18 at time of submission).
- Child has a disability or sickness (long-term health condition).
- The family household income is below the guide.
- The equipment is not available via government funding or alternative sources.
Ineligible
Items where funding is available from the government or other grant funds.
- Individuals 18 years of age and older.
- Projects that require recurring funding.
- Expenses considered to be part of an individual’s typical cost of living.
- Travel expenses – including public transport and petrol.
- Warranties, insurance, maintenance, service agreements, batteries,repairs.
- Retrospective expenses.
- Incomplete application forms.
- Services or therapies.
