Expected Results
- For the exercise of prioritizing interventions included in the contingency agreement, the framework is taken from the activities proposed for UNICEF Colombia’s Humanitarian Action for Children (HAC), and a minimum package of humanitarian services that are guided by the Fundamental Commitments for Children (CCC), and based on existing practices and efforts, previous experiences within the country, such as the response to floods in La Guajira and Chocó, the response to the displacement emergency in Arauca, Cauca and Catatumbo, and the response to children and adolescents on the move in border offices with special emphasis on the deployment of interventions in Necoclí.
Outcomes
- Outcome 1: Education: 500 children and adolescents access temporary formal education services or are reintegrated into regular education. 500 children and adolescents receive educational materials to support classroom-based learning recovery activities. 200 teachers and education workers receive training and technical assistance in quality, relevant, and flexible pedagogical approaches to guarantee the right to education in emergency contexts.
- Outcome 2: Protection: 2,000 children, adolescents, and their families have access to psychosocial support to mitigate the impacts of armed conflict. 600 children, adolescents, and their families have access to GBV prevention and/or response interventions. 60 children, adolescents, and their families identified through the implementation of community, school, and institutional mechanisms have access to violence response services. 1,000 children, adolescents, and 1,000 adults will develop Self-care skills to mitigate the risks caused by explosive devices. 600 children and young people reached through UNICEF-supported awareness-raising activities and community mobilization interventions on PEAS.
- Outcome 3: WASH and Environment: 500 children and families have access to safe drinking water in safe, separate, and well-lit spaces designated for the care of affected populations: shelters, educational facilities, and community spaces, with a focus on gender, ethnicity, disability, and life-cycle considerations. 500 people participate in actions to promote key hygiene practices, including menstrual hygiene, and the provision of essential hygiene items to prevent waterborne and sanitation-related diseases.
- Outcome 4: Cross-cutting Areas: 600 people are reached with key information on available services. – 600 people participate in feedback mechanisms. The emergency response is managed in an evidence-based manner. 60 frontline professionals are trained in emergency preparedness and response.
