CFPs for Selecting Partners to carry out EUROPE DIRECT Activities (Latvia)

Deep-Dive Business Consultancies Programme

Deadline: 15-Oct-20

The European Commission through its Representation in Latvia has launched a call for proposals to select partners for the period 2021-2025 will operate as EUROPE DIRECT.

It works actively and continuously with citizens to ensure a stronger link with the European project. By organizing information and outreach activities, EUROPE DIRECT enables citizens to make informed choices about the future of the EU by participating fully in the European democratic process.

By raising awareness of how the EU and its parliamentary democracy work and what matters fall within the EU’s remit, EUROPE DIRECT raises citizens’ awareness of the benefits of the EU in their daily lives, while emphasizing its added value.

EUROPE DIRECT helps to identify aspects of EU policy that are important at the local level and can develop messages and actions tailored to local needs. Through information and citizen involvement activities, EUROPE DIRECT helps pave the way for the Commission’s and Parliament’s strategic political priorities. It also listens to citizens and provides feedback to the EU institutions.

Moreover, EUROPE DIRECT works closely with the Commission’s Representations and the European Parliament’s offices (hereinafter “EP offices”) in the Member States concerned. They shall, as far as possible, cooperate with other EU information networks and local contact points (where they exist) and promote exchanges and coordination between them.
