This Call for Proposals aims to identify and select Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) with the technical and operational capacities to contribute to the implementation of emergency nutrition interventions in five priority regions of Burkina Faso.
The main objective, aligned with outcome 2 of the 2025-2026 rolling work plan between the Government of Burkina Faso and UNICEF, is that by the end of 2025, adolescent girls, women of reproductive age (especially pregnant and breastfeeding women), and their children aged 0 to 59 months (especially those under two years old), adopt optimal nutrition practices and equitably increase their use of quality nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive services, in a favorable policy and multisectoral environment.

Expected Results
- The areas of action to achieve the results, based on high-impact nutrition intervention packages, include:
- Early detection and referral: Improved early detection of malnutrition and support for the referral of malnourished children to health facilities (FS) or health districts (DS). Quality of acute malnutrition management: Ensure quality management of children suffering from acute malnutrition, in inpatient and outpatient settings, in accordance with the national protocol. This includes alternative and simplified approaches (training, procurement, storage, supervision, rapid response to population movements, continuous response, mobile clinics, advanced health posts, community based CMAM, simplified protocol, home-based MUAC), particularly in areas with high security challenges.
- Malnutrition prevention: Strengthening early detection of acute malnutrition, promoting Infant and Young Child Feeding in Emergency Situations (IYCF-E), and distribution of nutritional supplements, including the integration of Early Childhood Development (ECD) in emergency contexts.
- Combating micronutrient deficiencies: Micronutrient supplementation (MMS, MNP, LNS, etc.).
- Social and behavior change: Promoting optimal nutrition through integrated participatory community approaches and human-centered design approaches.
- Strengthening governance: Improving sectoral and multi-sectoral governance of nutrition at regional, district and municipal levels.
- Accountability and visibility: Establishing accountability mechanisms at all levels and ensuring the visibility of donors (UNICEF and other technical and financial partners).
