CFPs: Preventing Violent Extremism and Countering Online Hate Speech through Women’s Empowerment in Philippines

UN Women is seeking to engage the Responsible Party (RP) aims to support the implementation of the project, “Preventing Violent Extremism (PVE) and Countering Online Hate-Speech through Women’s Empowerment in the Philippines with a focus on the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM)” from February 2022 to September 2022.

The project is built on UN Women’s continuing work on empowering women from the most fragile communities to participate in peacebuilding, conflict prevention, and addressing emerging conflicts in BARMM.

It combines multiple approaches: capacity building, community and policy dialogue, knowledge generation, and media engagements using traditional and digital platforms. These various approaches are organized under the broader women empowerment framework, where each activity is designed to amplify women’s agency, voice, and contribution as they deal with the threat of violent extremism in their communities.
