“Climate Action in Wake of COVID-19: Build Back Better” Program

Major Organizations: Operating Grant Program in Canada

Deadline: 10-Jan-21

The European Investment Bank (EIB) Institute is pleased to announce the 2021 edition of its Artists Development Programme (ADP).

The EIB Institute is looking for ONE visual artist (born after 1 January 1986) from an EU Member State to work on the theme “Climate Action in the Wake of COVID-19: Build Back Better”.

This new thematic call challenges artists to create work that unpacks the complicated relationship between climate action and the pandemic response. It asks artists to explore post-pandemic reconstruction as an opportunity to tackle the environmental issues exacerbated by the pandemic. How can art help lead them into a post-pandemic world? Artists are invited to muse upon the role of art in the wake of a global crisis in the year immediately following COVID-19.

The ADP offers emerging European visual artists a 6-8 week residency in Luxembourg, enabling them to develop their practice and create a new (body of) work(s), boosted by the mentorship of a renowned artist.
