The City of Mandurah is committed to financially supporting community groups and organisations through its Community Partnership Fund.
The Community Partnership Fund is designed to partner with Not-For-Profit organisations to deliver programs, services or projects that provide a community benefit, which would not be possible with only one year’s funding.
Aims
- The Community Partnership Fund aims:
- to increase community access to programs and services
- to align organisations priorities with the City’s Strategic Community Plan 2020-2040.
Objectives
- To be eligible, projects must align with at least one of the following key priority areas:
- Support people to have a greater sense of safety in the community.
- Contribute to the provision of high-quality health services.
- Facilitate people from diverse cultural backgrounds and abilities to engage and participate in the community.
- Support seniors to remain active and engaged and independent into the future
- Facilitate the emotional, social and language development of children.
- Provide opportunities for community involvement, increasing sense of vibrancy and connection to place.
- Provide opportunities for people to engage in local arts, music and culture
- Provide opportunities for lifelong learning for all.
- Encourage conservation and appreciation of the natural resources.
- Increase young people’s access to health and wellbeing, training and employment options
Funding Parameters
- Applications will be invited in July each year from Incorporated, not-for profit organisations and non-incorporated community groups who are au spiced by an incorporated body.
- The Community Partnership Grant panel will meet to assess applications, based on:
- Existing support being provided by the City, including fee waivers, grant funding and subsidised venue hire
- Value for money initiatives delivered to benefit Mandurah residents
- Demonstrated need and organisational ability to deliver the project
- Projects which are accessible and inclusive of people of all ages, ability, culture, genders and financial background
- Projects aligning with at least one of the key priority areas identified in the City of Mandurah Strategic Community Plan 2020-2040
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must discuss their project with a Community Development Officer to determine eligibility prior to submitting the grant application;
- Applicants must be an incorporated not-for-profit organisation or au spiced by one;
- Applicants must hold current Public Liability Insurance;
- Applicants must not have outstanding acquittals with the City of Mandurah;
- Applicant agrees to comply with Local, State and Commonwealth laws applicable to the approved project or event;
- Applicants are eligible to apply for equipment and program expenses where the cost increases organisational capacity to deliver service;
- The event or project is not retrospective and will occur or commence following the notification date;
- Applications must align with at least one of the funds key priority areas.
