The Chesapeake Bay Trust is excited to announce a recently formed partnership with the District of Columbia Department of Energy and Environment on the Community Stormwater Solutions Grant Program.

Goals

Funding Information

This Program is designed to support efforts that raise awareness and lead to behavior change around watershed- and stormwater-related issues, through education, installation and maintenance of runoff-reducing green infrastructure, art installations.

The Program provides funding for innovative, community-oriented and –inspired projects aimed at improving water quality in the District, reducing litter, and raising awareness about what residents can do to restore their rivers, streams, and parks.

Additionally, the Program supports community partners through capacity-building initiatives.

The Trust is committed to the advancement of diversity and inclusion in its award-making and environmental work.

As a result, the Trust strongly encourages applications directly from underrepresented groups, and for projects that increase awareness and participation of communities that are traditionally underrepresented, such as communities of color.

Project Areas

All projects must demonstrate the ability to conduct the work and follow the latest COVID-19 safety precautions to ensure safety of the people involved in the project as the project’s primary priority.

Cross-cutting Project Areas: The following project areas may be used in combination with any of the above.
