The Copyright Agency’s Cultural Fund is offering grants to the Australian Organisations for projects that deliver exceptional opportunities for authors, journalists, artists and key industry stakeholders in the writing, publishing, education, and visual arts sectors.
The aim of this fund is to support its members and key industry stakeholders to create, award, present, publish, and offer significant development and career sustaining opportunities for writers and visual artists.
The agency also offer grants to leading writing organisations to help build literacy skills for children and young adults, and various partnerships with key industry organisations to raise the profile of writing and writers.
Type of Activities
- Skills development and professional development opportunities for emerging creators and people working in publishing;
- Publishers, literary magazines and journals;
- Professional mentorships, residencies, internships;
- Conferences, art book fairs, symposia;
- Educational and cultural institutions;
- Partnerships with major national writer’s festivals;
- Awards and prizes for writers and visual artists;
- Writing, publishing and visual arts industry associations;
- Theatre companies to provide opportunities for playwrights;
- Literary and literacy-building organisations.
Eligibility Criteria
- Legally constituted organisations and incorporated associations may apply;
- Individuals or sole traders are not eligible to apply for these grants. Please see their Grants for Individuals;
- Applicants may only submit one application per round to the Cultural Fund;
- Applicants must have acquitted any overdue Cultural Fund grants to be eligible to apply for further funding.
